Crikey!

Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray! In a violent death, too.

From the article:

“He came on top of the stingray and the stingray’s barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart,” said Stainton, who was on board Irwin’s boat at the time.

I liked the Crocodile Hunter. I am not sure that I agree with this statement:

“He died doing what he loved best and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind. He would have said, ‘Crocs Rule!’” I think he died doing what he least expected, and he would have said, “Stingrays Suck!”

The list of people not killed by Stingrays is still pretty long, including my favorite neighbors, who now have at least SIX dogs. **sigh**
